Tattoo Aftercare Instructions:

Always wash your hands before caring for your new tattoo.

*After 2 hours, using clean hands, remove any dressing (e.g. plastic wrap, bandage, etc) that was applied to your new tattoo and lather with antibacterial soap and warm water.

*A warm shower may be useful to remove sticky bandages or tape from the skin.

*Allow your new tattoo to air dry for 15-20 minutes, or until completely dry.

*Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor ointment twice a date for the first two days after receiving your tattoo. You may then switch to a natural oil or butter, such as coconut oil or shea butter.

*Continue use of your preferred moisturizer, applying 2-3 times daily, keeping the area moisturized for 2-3 weeks, or indefinitely.

*Avoid using an excess amount of ointment or moisturizer on your new tattoo.

*Do NOT soak or submerge unhealed or new tattoos in water. Normal showers are okay, but swimming and bathing are not.

*If your new tattoo develops any scabs, do not scratch or pick at them. Let them fall off naturally.

*Avoid direct sunlight for two weeks after receiving your new tattoo.

*To maintain the highest quality sharpness and brightness, always use sun block when planning on spending time outdoors.

*If at anytime during the healing process of you experience abnormal symptoms such as, infection, yellow or green discharge from the tattoo site, extreme pain or swelling, please contact your artist but most importantly contact a physician first!
